Math help in Salem, OR.

08/13/2014
Have you noticed how certain people have certain abilities? Some are better at dancing, while others get a better sense of images. Turns out, this also translates to how they learn and take in information!

So, if you want to assess your child’s learning style and know how you can help him/her study better, this post by The Tutoring Center in Salem will give you a few tips!

How to Evaluate and Adapt to Your Child’s Learning Style

The Visual Learner

As their name states, these are people who rely mostly on their eyes to take in information. They need visual references to reinforce the lessons learned. Videos, diagrams, images, and colors are of great assistance for people with this kind of learning style.

The Auditory Learner

On the other hand, auditory learners are guided by sounds for the most part. They’re often good with music and remembering conversations. For them, discussing the topics, using rhymes as mnemonic devices, or recording the lectures, could work best as study methods.

The Kinesthetic Learner

This type of people are all about movement and using their body and hands to learn about the world around them. If your child is a kinesthetic learner, you can help him/her by providing tools (like puzzles), allowing him/her to move around and make diagrams/rewrite the lessons.

For Tutoring in Salem…

Your child’s learning style can make a huge difference in how well s/he performs at school, since a teacher can’t cater to each student’s learning style. If this is the case, a tutor may be able to help!

Here at The Tutoring Center, we have experts who will adapt their teaching approach to your child’s needs in order to make sure s/he learns the lessons. Call (971) 600-3288 for more information about how we can help your child reach his/her academic potential.
